Use: greatly used in the US market and in Asia. Short pieces are often used for building stringed musical instruments. Because the lines horizontal to the wood fibre, working with curly sycamore can be complex because the fibres are easily torn.

Characteristics: Curly Sycamore has characteristics very similar to Sycamore Maple. Yellowish-white colour.

Drying: after being sliced, the wood must be dried immediately to prevent yellowing due to exposure to light and air.

Surface: the surface is usually polished or stained. UV resistant varnishes are recommended to prevent the colour of the wood from changing over time.

Gluing: the joints are strong.
