Description

Use: mostly used for furniture and interior furnishings. Sometimes it used as a substitute for Walnut.

Characteristics: sapwood yellowish, almost white, narrow. The heartwood tends to be yellowish brown or greyish.

Drying: rather easy to dry.

Surface: grain is generally straight, sometimes intertwined. Fine to medium and uniform texture, with a slight natural sheen. During sanding, produces dust that often causes skin irritation.

Gluing: both types of joints are easy to make.
